The Intense King of the Forest
Jaguar coffee stands out in the coffee world for its unique flavor profile created through the honey processing method. Originating in Costa Rica, this method involves removing the outer skin and pulp of the coffee cherry while leaving the sticky mucilage intact. The beans are then sun-dried for over a week, allowing the pectin to ferment, which imparts a distinctive acidity and sweetness that transfers to the coffee beans. Once roasted, this process enhances the aroma, giving Jaguar coffee beans a rich, fermented sweet-and-sour character and a silky smooth texture.
Jaguar coffee offers flavors of walnuts and roasted chestnuts, with a lingering finish of dark sugar. It provides a layered tasting experience, with a stronger sweet-and-sour intensity compared to Yirgacheffe. The smooth mouthfeel and delicate, unique flavor leave a lasting impression. Even when served iced, Jaguar maintains its rich flavors, making it an excellent choice for iced coffee.
